Boys basketball: Verdis, Arlington fight into sectional quarterfinals

David Verdis scored 19 points as the Arlington High School boys basketball team advanced to the Section 1 Class AA quarterfinals with a 73-62 first-round triumph over visiting Ossining on Sunday.
