To the editor: I'd like to explain why, as a registered independent, I am proud to have voted for Mayor Bill Hanauer in the past and why I plan to cast my ballot in his favor again this year. I'm grateful for the improvements Bill has made that have kept our village of Ossining a safe place to live.
