Heather McArdle, a resident of Ossining and a geosciences teacher at Mahopac High School in Putnam County, was recently presented the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Foundation's national 2014 Teacher of the Year Award. McArdle is the first recipient of the award to come from New York.
